In this document, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
2.1. By creating an Account, or by accessing or using the Services, the User confirms that they have read, understood and unequivocally accepted these Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
2.2. If the User does not agree with these Terms, they are prohibited from using the Platform and must delete any existing Account.
2.3. The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments will be notified by updating the date above. Continued use of the Platform after the amendments have been published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2.4. The Platform is intended exclusively for persons aged at least 16. By accepting these Terms, the User warrants that they are at least 16 years old. Persons aged between 16 and 18 may use the Platform only with the prior consent of their parents or legal guardian.
3.1. For full access to the Services, the User must create an Account by providing true, accurate, complete and up-to-date information: full name, active email address, phone number, county/country, gender, date of birth and playing position.
3.2. The User is solely responsible for the security of their credentials and for all activities carried out through their Account. The Operator shall not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised use of the Account.
3.3. The User undertakes to notify the Operator immediately of any unauthorised use of their Account, at claudiutigaroi@gmail.com.
3.4. The Operator may suspend or close the Account without prior notice in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abusive behaviour towards other Users or any illegal activity.
3.5. A User may hold only one Account per email address. Creating multiple accounts in order to obtain unfair advantages is prohibited and may lead to the deletion of all associated accounts.
4.1. Registration for a tournament is conditional on the player’s profile being fully completed and, where applicable, on payment of the entry fee set by the tournament organiser.
4.2. The rankings and points displayed on the Platform are calculated automatically on the basis of the results recorded. The Operator does not guarantee that they always reflect the real-time situation of the competitions.
4.3. Withdrawing from a tournament after the registration has been confirmed may result in the total or partial loss of the entry fee, depending on the specific rules of the tournament. For fees paid online, the refund policy in clause 4.9 also applies.
4.4. Tournament organisers are responsible for the accuracy of the data they enter and for managing the events. The Platform Operator acts solely as a technical intermediary and cannot be held liable for cancellations, changes or incidents occurring on site.
4.5. Taking part in tournaments involves accepting sporting risks. The Operator recommends that all players hold appropriate sports insurance and is not liable for accidents or bodily injury occurring during competitions.
4.6. Image rights at tournaments and use in the media.
A. Players registered for tournaments. By creating an Account and by registering for any tournament listed on the Platform, the User gives their express consent that:
B. Spectators, companions and any other person present on site. Padel Tour partner clubs are spaces open to the public on tournament days or in a promotional context. By physically entering the premises (courts, stands, courtside areas, café, reception, car park, ancillary areas) – regardless of whether or not the person is a registered User of the Platform or a registered player – any person present implicitly accepts that:
Persons who do not wish to appear in media materials are required to avoid the areas signposted as being filmed (usually the active court + the official prize-giving area) or to make themselves known to the photographer/videographer present. The Operator and the partner clubs make reasonable efforts to respect requests notified on site, but cannot guarantee retroactive exclusion from materials already published.
C. Minors. For participants and visitors under 16, consent to the use of their image for media purposes is given by a parent or legal guardian – either by accepting the Terms when signing up to the Platform on behalf of the minor, or through a form signed at the club entrance or when registering for the tournament.
4.7. Withdrawal of consent to the use of one’s image. The User may at any time withdraw their consent to future uses of their image by sending a written request to claudiutigaroi@gmail.com, marked “Withdrawal of image consent”. The withdrawal takes effect only for the future and does not affect:
Once the request has been registered, the Operator will make reasonable efforts to remove or anonymise the materials under its direct control (Platform + own channels) within a maximum of 30 days.
4.8. Entry fee and online payment.
4.8.1. The entry fee is set by the tournament organiser and is owed individually, by each player for their own share. A player who sends a partner invitation does not pay their teammate’s fee: each player pays their own fee.
4.8.1.1. The fee is owed from the moment of registration, including when the player registers alone, without an established teammate. The counterpart of this rule is set out in clause 4.9.3: a player who, for any reason not attributable to them, does not end up playing – including because they cannot find a teammate – receives the amount paid in full.
4.8.2. The organiser decides how payment is collected: cash at the club, exclusively online by card, or both. At tournaments with online-only payment, the pair is registered but is not included in the competition draw until both players have paid the fee.
4.8.3. Online payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., and the amounts are collected directly into the organising club’s Stripe account. The merchant is the organising club, not the Platform Operator: the club issues the tax documents, is the holder of the contractual relationship concerning participation and is responsible for refunds. The Platform does not store card data.
4.8.3.1. The Operator never comes into possession of the amounts paid by players. Funds flow exclusively between the player, the payment processor and the organising club’s account; the Operator holds no collection accounts, makes no payments to clubs and retains no part of the entry fee. The Operator’s role is limited to providing the technical means by which the player and the club connect to the payment processor.
4.8.3.2. Consequently, the legal relationship concerning the entry fee – collection, invoicing, refunds, guarantees and any disputes – is established between the player and the organising club. The Operator is not a party to this relationship, is not liable for the club’s failure to perform its obligations and cannot dispose of the funds in the club’s account. The technical support provided by the Operator does not mean that it assumes the capacity of merchant, collection agent or payment service provider.
4.8.3.3. Platform usage fee. As at the date of this version, the Operator charges no fee to players for using the Platform; its amount is 0 lei. The Operator reserves the right to introduce such a fee at a later date, in which case it will be displayed distinctly and in advance, separately from the entry fee, both at the time of payment and by updating this section. No fee may be charged retroactively for registrations already paid.
4.8.4. A fee not paid by the deadline communicated by the organiser does not result in the automatic withdrawal of the registration, but the organiser may release the place to another player.
4.8.5. At tournaments with online-only payment, registering and accepting a teammate invitation lead directly to the payment page. At tournaments that also accept cash, the player chooses the payment method when registering.
4.8.6. Changing division before registration closes does not generate a new payment or a refund: the fee paid is transferred to the new division. The transfer is possible only if registration is open, the fee is identical and the player meets the eligibility conditions of the destination division.
4.8.7. Division eligibility conditions. The organiser may set criteria of gender, level or age limits for each division. The Platform automatically checks these criteria at registration on the basis of the profile data; where the date of birth has not been filled in, the check cannot be carried out, and the decision on admission rests with the organiser.
4.8.7.1. Correspondence between the level division and the mixed division. Within the same tournament, a player registered in Men’s 1, Men’s 2 or Women’s 1 may take part in mixed only in Mixed 1, and a player registered in Men’s 3, Men’s 4, Men’s 5, Women’s 2 or Women’s 3 only in Mixed 2 or a lower mixed division. The threshold differs between the series because they are of different lengths: five men’s divisions and three women’s divisions respectively. The correspondence works in both directions: neither moving down nor moving up between series is permitted. Where the player appears in several level divisions, the highest of them is taken into account, including across different series. The purpose of the rule is to maintain the competitive balance of the mixed divisions, and it is checked automatically at registration; the organiser may grant an exemption.
4.8.7.2. The check provided for in clause 4.8.7.1 relates exclusively to the registrations in the tournament concerned, and not to the player’s ranking division. Registrations made before this rule came into force are not affected retroactively; the organiser may ask the player to correct them.
4.8.8. Limited places and waiting list. The number of pairs admitted to a division is limited. Pairs registered above this limit are placed on the waiting list, and admission to the draw is based on the criteria announced by the organiser (usually the points). Paying the fee does not in itself guarantee inclusion in the draw; a player who is not included is refunded in full, in accordance with clause 4.9.3.
4.9. Refund policy for fees paid online.
4.9.1. The payment processing fee charged by the payment processor is not returned by the processor when a refund is made, whatever the reason. Consequently, on any refund, this fee is borne by the party responsible for the situation, in accordance with the rules below.
4.9.2. Refund with the processing fee withheld (the player receives the fee paid less the actual fee charged by the processor) – exclusively in situations where non-participation results from the player’s own decision:
4.9.2.1. Failing to turn up for the competition does not give the right to a refund; the fee remains with the organiser.
4.9.3. Full refund, with the fee borne by the organiser – in all situations where non-participation does not result from the player’s decision, including, without limitation:
4.9.4. The refunds provided for in clause 4.9.3 are granted automatically when registration closes, without the player having to make a request. The exact amount of the fee withheld in the situations in clause 4.9.2 is the amount actually charged by the payment processor for the transaction concerned and varies according to the type of card used. The amount refunded and the amount withheld are communicated to the player by in-app notification at the time of the refund.
4.9.5. Refunds are ordered by the organiser and processed through the payment processor. The funds usually reach the payer’s account within 5–10 working days of being ordered, a period that depends on the card-issuing bank and cannot be influenced by the organiser or the Operator.
4.9.6. Under Article 16(l) of Government Emergency Ordinance No. 34/2014 (O.U.G. nr. 34/2014), the 14-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to services related to leisure activities that provide for a specific date or period of performance, a category that includes tournament registrations. The refunds provided for in clauses 4.9.2 and 4.9.3 are granted under this commercial policy, and not under a statutory right of withdrawal.
4.9.7. By paying the entry fee online, the player confirms that they have read this refund policy, which is also presented to them at the time of payment.
4.9.8. Fees paid in cash at the club are not covered by this section and are refunded, where applicable, directly by the organiser, in full, since they did not incur processing fees.
4.9.9. Complaints about the collection or refund of the fee should be addressed first of all to the organising club, in its capacity as merchant. The Operator may offer technical support at claudiutigaroi@gmail.com. Consumers have the right to contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor), as well as the European online dispute resolution platform.

6.1. All elements of the Platform – including but not limited to the Padel Tour logo, graphic design, source code, databases, texts, images and functionalities – are the exclusive property of the Operator or, where applicable, of its partners, and are protected by copyright and intellectual property legislation.
6.2. The User may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, resell or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without the prior written consent of the Operator.

7.2. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for:
7.3. The Operator’s maximum liability to any User, for any cause, is limited to the sum of 0 lei, as the Platform does not collect fees from players in its own name.

8.3. The User has the right to request at any time access to, rectification, erasure or portability of their data, as well as the right to object to processing, by sending a request to claudiutigaroi@gmail.com.
9.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. The Operator does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy policies or practices of these third-party websites.
9.2. The Platform uses infrastructure services provided by third parties, including Supabase (databases and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). These providers are contractually bound to comply with data security standards.
10.1. The User may request the deletion of their Account at any time by sending a request to claudiutigaroi@gmail.com. Deleting the Account does not affect the history of tournament participation, which may be retained in accordance with legal obligations.
10.2. The Operator may suspend or delete any Account, with or without prior notice, if the User breaches these Terms or if the Operator considers that the User’s presence on the Platform is harmful to the community.
10.3. On deletion of the Account, the licence granted to the Operator in respect of the Content ends, unless that Content has been shared by other Users or is necessary for the integrity of the Platform’s historical data.
The Operator shall not be liable for the non-performance or defective performance of its obligations where this is caused by force majeure, including natural disasters, pandemics, outages of internet networks or hosting services, acts of the authorities, cyber-attacks or any other circumstances beyond the Operator’s control.
12.1. These Terms are governed by Romanian law and shall be interpreted in accordance with it.
12.2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be settled amicably. If amicable settlement fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.
