8 regions, one national team – the regional rankings from which the regional squads are formed.

Regional rankings only count points from Men's 1 and Men's 2 for men and Women's 1 and Women's 2 for women.

Romanian Padel Federation · National project 2026–2027

Together with Romania Padel Tour, the Federation is building a permanent national network for identifying, selecting and developing players, organised into 8 sports regions.

These rankings lead to the regional squads, and from there to the national squads.

Each region sends a men's squad and a women's squad of 6–8 players each to the national camps.

Who can be selected: players who have played at least 3 Romania Padel Tour tournaments in 2026. Each player represents the region of the address on their ID card or their temporary residence, not the one where they live or play.

First regional squad line-up
Sunday 22 November 2026, 23:59 at the latest
The first regional squad line-up is sent to the Federation: at least 6 male and 6 female players and up to 3 junior teams. Regional trials are held up to this date.
Stage I, Brașov
28 November – 1 December 2026
Presentation and assessment of the 8 regional selections, inter-regional matches, assessment of juniors, first names for the extended national squads.
Stage II, Brașov
15–17 January 2027
Reassessment, testing team combinations, setting the core of the national squads for March 2027.

How it's organised

Each region has its own management team: a regional team manager and two regional selectors. The regional teams work directly with the national technical staff.
